Sarcastic beg for interaction
The cynicism on Red Letter Media’s channel extends beyond the films they riff to the very platform they’re hosted on. Occasionally videos will include a sarcastic beg for interaction in the same way many YouTube personalities tend to do during or after every video.
“Remember to like us on Facebook” is a common addition during one of these jokes, as RLM does not post to Facebook. “Instagram” is another common replacement. Jay Bauman is particularly fond of the phrase “smash that like button”.
