I don’t want to say “If you legitimately liked this film you have a low IQ,” but if you legitimately liked this film you have a low IQ.

The 70-Minute Rise of Skywalker Review, the 173rd episode of Half in the Bag, is a review of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as the title implies.

The crew go into the directorial choice, opinions about the general plot, and find time to discuss Marriage Story—which shares an actor in Adam Driver.

This review takes place in The Black Void and features Rich Evans.

Description[edit | edit source]

Internet superstar Rich Evans joins Mike and Jay on this very special episode of Half in the Bag. The guys discuss the newest Star Wars film, “The Rise of Skywalker” and attempt to make sense of it in the fairest, most humane way possible.

Remarks[edit | edit source]

The item on The Black Void’s table is a bust of George Lucas. Mike points it out.

Themes[edit | edit source]

The crew read user reviews for Episode IX to start the show.

Up Next[edit | edit source]

The clone of Palpatine discussed in this review would be brought up in Andor - re:View.

A truncated segment of the discussion on Palpatine was edited into a video titled Mike Was Wrong!!! It's edited around news sources explaining that Palpatine, as he appears in Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, is a clone. Part of it seemingly laments the fact that the ending of the movie was not a climactic, definitive ending.

During the credits, Jay is credited as "Executive Producer" while Rich is credited as "Director" and "Co-Executive Producer".

Description[edit | edit source]

It has been revealed that Palpatine in Rise of Skywalker was a clone. Many people have credited Mike for saying this was the case. He did say it, but not exactly. Let’s set the record straight…
