Best of the Worst has no hard rules for what you can select as the Best of the Worst. As a result, many selections are not from the stable that was determined at the beginning of the video. These are usually chosen for comedic effect.
This does not count episodes which unexpectedly switch to a Spotlight episode part of the way through, such as Night of the Lepus, Zombie 3, and Silk.

- Halloween 2023: Rich Evans selects *Rhinestone* for Best of the Worst, forcing a tie.
Variations and attempts
- Bad Movie Scavenger Hunt Too: Jokingly, Mike states he will vote for American Cyborg: Steel Warrior.
