The crew at Red Letter Media run a tight ship, often operating with minimal or no crew. Typical crew members for an RLM production consist of cast members managing the cameras and lighting just offscreen. These crew members—being longtime friends and cast members—will joke and jest with each other both on and off camera. This often results in crew members being revealed, an abnormal practice compared to most professional shows where these people should be invisible and unseen. == Examples == * Battle of the Genres: Jay Bauman drinks coffee while operating the camera, leading to Mike pointing it out to Rich Evans. This reveals both Rich and Jay as crew members. * Wheel of the Worst #28: Jay asks Mike "What are you filming?" intending to ask what the shot is framed at. Mike, now revealed as a crew member, answers truthfully that he's filming a two-shot first, then mocks Jay's question. The now-revealed Mike then pot-shots jokes to the other crew member, Rich Evans.
