Fuck movies! Half in the Bag Is a review show from Red Letter Media talking about newly released movies and, recently, television shows. The show follows, as a framing device, two men by the name of Mike and Jay who work as repairmen for one of the last remaining VCR repair shops, Lightning Fast VCR Repair. The two seek to fleece a one Mr. Plinkett, pretending to repair his VCR and spending the time instead discussing movies with each other. As the series goes on, the two find themselves in more fantastical and outrageous situations as Mike's further attempts to get rich quick spiral out of control. The name comes from a euphemism for drunkenness, harkening back to the days of alcohol being served inside of paper bags. Being halfway done with drinking straight out of a bottle, and therefore being mildly drunk, would imply one is "half in the bag". Of all the shows on Red Letter Media, this one is the most scripted. Most episodes have intro and outro bits, and occasionally include entire plot arcs. Most episodes credit Mike Stoklasa, who plays Mike, and Jay Bauman, who plays Jay, and include an "Also Starring" credit for Rich Evans (who portrays Plinkett) even if Rich is not present in the episode. For the purposes of this wiki, only actors present in the episode will be credited. == Couch Gags == Every episode of Half in the Bag begins with Mike doing the voice of Harry S. Plinkett saying the name of the show. Most will follow with a couch gag where Mike says a humorous phrase. These are listed in their respective episode pages. The most common is "Fuck movies!" but others have been repeated multiple times as well. More recently, as streaming services have become more common and clips from the film are readily available to the reviewers, the editor will include a humorous line from the film as a couch gag or a snippet from one of the actors being interviewed about the film. == See Also == * list of Half in the Bag episodes
